J. Thomas Failla Educator, Editor and Consultant Mr. Failla has more than 30-years experience in the public and private sector as a journalist, corporate executive, management consultant and educator. (See CV for full details) He is known for his ability to think and act strategically, solve problems and communicate effectively. He has held leadership roles in major corporations, higher education and local government. For six years in the 1990s, he operated a virtual communications consulting and services corporation that he and his wife, Kathleen, founded. His specific expertise includes: training and organizational development, environmental regulation and public policy, journalism, the internet, public relations and scientific and technical writing. Currently, he is director of Business and Industry Services and the Workforce Education Institute at Norwalk Community College. The Institute provides employers with services in the areas of task analysis, skills assessment, organizational development and customized job training. He is also adjunct professor of business at Norwalk Community and an adjunct professor for Iona College's Mass Communications Department, where he teaches at the graduate and undergraduate level.
